Fatfish Family

01

History

First founded in 2011, Fatfish Group was swiftly recognised as an incubator partner by the Singaporean government. Three years later, with our listing on the Australia Securities Exchange, Fatfish became one of the first internet venture accelerators to go public in the Asia Pacific. We have since expanded our operations in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Sweden and the United Kingdom, giving us strategic access to capital, innovation and talent.

02

Our Strengths

We give our startups an unparalleled advantage by providing access to our resources, experience, and extensive corporate networks. Over the years, Fatfish Group has grown a varied portfolio of businesses and consistently brought them to successful IPOs and exits.
03

Our Future

With access to global markets, an experienced managing team, and a deep passion in creating asset value as a venture builder, we will continue to grow exponentially in the next few years.

We have a pipeline of significant opportunities in various stages of development, particularly in Southeast Asia, one of the fastest growing emerging markets.

Venture Development Division

Fatfish Group’s Venture Capital division invests into mature startups (typically pre-Series A or Series A round) across the world, particularly in Asia, Australia and Sweden. In Malaysia, Fatfish Group’s subsidiary, Fatfish Ventures Sdn. Bhd. has been appointed as a co-investment partner of Cradle, an early-stage technology funding agency under the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia. Fatfish regularly co-invests with other venture capital firms in the region and continuously seeks to foster close business relationships with its peers in the regional venture investment space.

Fatfish Group’s main proposition as a value-enhancing investor, is its ability to assist the startups it invests in, by providing its resources and network in the tech eco-system across the geographical markets it operates in, especially in the Southeast Asia region – one of the fastest growth markets in the world.

Digital Incubator Division

As Fatfish Group’s subsidiary, Fatfish Medialab in Singapore operates an accelerator specialising in mobile, e-commerce and fintech areas. Fatfish Medialab is appointed as an official partner of the i.jam funding scheme of the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA). The I.jam funding programme allows a co-investment partnership between Fatfish and MDA that sees investments of up to SGD250,000 of seed funding into early-stage startups in exchange for minority equity positions.

Besides funding, Fatfish Medialab actively provides support to startups in the various business operation areas such as product development, marketing, strategy, finance, etc.
